And the winner is....

This is going to be short but sweet tonight. It is already almost one and we have another day of traveling tomorrow. We decided to stay in Milan today instead of go to Venice. We got up and went right back to the Duomo, but this time we were in proper attire so we could go inside. It was so gorgeous! The ceilings were so high and there were stain glass windows went all the way to the top! It was so amazing!!

We were also able to climb up on top of it! Definitely my favorite part of today!!!

Next we went out to have a snack at this place we saw from the top of the Duomo. It was actually like this little store that was really cute and it had a sushi bar inside. And yes-- I ate sushi! I think it was either a salmon or tuna roll, I am not really sure, with cream cheese and asparagus inside. I liked it! It was a really cool place where you just look at the conveyer belt going by and pick out what you want.

After that we went back to the castle so we could go inside. It was about as cool as it was yesterday, there was not much inside the courtyard. I wish we could have actually gone inside the castle!!

Then we went shopping-- we both deciced that there was not a lot there that we couldn't get at home for a lot cheaper. Except the shoes- they looked amazing but expensive. I am planning on buying some but I just dont want to rush my souvineers. Then we went home and took a nap-- the sun and walking really takes it out of you!! Finally we went to dinner at this little place we found and we were the only tourists--which means it must be good right? And it was! So good!! we ordered prosciutto. He literally just walked over to this huge thing of meat and started carving away-- it was soo yummy!!! Then I had the Risotto for dinner and gelato for dessert (melon and lemon this time).

We are off to Lucca and Pisa tomorrow :) Arrivederchi.

  3. Wow that Duomo is cool! The scenery in Europe is so much more interesting than the scenery 'round these parts. And you ate sushi?! Amazing!
